(Blog Entry #18) - Versace Bag

I still can’t believe it’s sitting on my desk right now.

For weeks, my evening ritual was exactly the same. I’d open The RealReal, type in the search bar, and there it was—the Versace bag of my absolute dreams. Every single time I checked, half-expecting to see that crushing "SOLD" sign, it was still there, stubbornly waiting just for me. It perfectly nails that early 2000s Gen X Soft Club aesthetic. It’s pure Matrix energy, done in this incredible grayish, olive green patent leather that shifts in the light. It has these heavy rectangular grommets that almost look like metal pins, giving it a sharp, industrial edge.

After weeks of hovering my index finger over the screen, I finally took the plunge.

When the box arrived a week later, opening it felt significant. Because it’s vintage, it carries its own story, completely removed from the endless loop of micro-trends.

It brings just the right amount of industrial grit to my everyday wardrobe. The muted olive tone balances that moody, alternative edge with enough practicality. It has immediately become my everyday bag, slung over my shoulder for morning commutes and quick errands alike. My evening scrolls are officially over, and my new favorite era has begun.
